Farewells & Circles

The world offer lots of ways to part ways, like, Adiosย in Spanish,ย Auf Widersehenย in German,ย Blessย in Icelandic andย Sayonaraย in Japanese.ย  In some languages, ย โ€˜Good byeโ€™โ€™ is also a welcome or greeting, like: In French:ย Salut In Hawaiian:ย Aloha In Hebrew:ย ย Shalom In Hindi:ย Nameste In Thai:ย ย Sawasdee   While studying โ€˜farewells,โ€™ I learned that saying,ย ‘Ciao’ย  should be avoided.ย The Venetian source means, โ€˜I am your slave.โ€™ Ah well. And did you know โ€˜fizzleโ€™ originally meant:. To break wind without noise? Meanings change.ย    And life can circle. As Ivy Baker Priest wrote, “The world is round and the place which may seem like the end, may also be the beginning.”   Speaking of going round, hope you enjoy these refreshing, invigorating 11 seconds of our group called the Polar Bears.
