In trying to understand how everything could happen at once, I watched this post’s video, below. [More of my hairs silvered in the process.]
What I learned is: Einstein was explaining what ‘now’ means.
In the end [if endings are possible], I could accept that the past is never gone and the future always exists. Everything that ever or will occur is happening ‘now,’ somewhere. That’s a shivery thought. I want more good ‘nows!’
At 5:37 this morning, Pittsburgh time, Earth’s tilt allowed less darkness and more sunlight to brighten this hemisphere for the next 90 days … or eternally. Because the passage of time is suggested by distances travelled [from lunch to dinner, from winter to spring], the words of the starship USS Enterprise’s Captain Picard are worth remembering, “Make now the most precious time.” [“The Inner Light,” Season 5, Episode 25]
By the way, tomorrow [March 21] is International Day of Forests. Enjoy one or a few. Plant a tree and start your own!
